Now that the Internet and connectivity at extremely high speeds is the order of the day and a must-have for every event, we’ve grown our IT department into a very handy tool for our clients. We’ve organized, stocked and staffed an entire department to provide not just the actual equipment but also the services producers are asking for to edit modules, create music and effects, and build speaker support presentations. We’ve built backstage systems so the crew can be on-line planning their next gig instead of paying attention to yours and we’ve built systems to connect workstations and distribute information throughout entire convention centers, stadiums and wet fields in the middle of nowhere.
Our computer fleet is anchored by the Dell Lattitude D620 laptops, featuring Intel Core Duo 2 processors. All our computers have CD/DVD burners, bluetooth wireless and wi-fi. All have NVIDIA Quatro video cards and run Windows XP. We stock a full line of HP printers in color and black & white and everything is networkable backstage or wherever you need it. We have routers, switches and hubs, oh my. All of our systems can be configured wireless…all of them.
We have been traveling with Final Cut Pro and Pro-Tools editing suites with all the outboard gear you’ll need to edit existing pieces or create new ones. Everything’s loaded with PowerPoint, Photoshop and Keynote, and we’ll be happy to have our geeks preinstall whatever software you need. It’s all show-ready and packaged to ship.
